What is Classlist?
Classlist is a Communications platform to foster parent community. It was developed specifically for international and boarding schools’ parent communities and Parent Teacher Associations/Vereins. We are excited to be able to introduce this App at MIS to facilitate communication, foster parent engagement and further our mission of supporting a vibrant parent community.

How do I join?
A few days before the Academic Year 25/26, you will receive an email from Classlist directly inviting you to download the app to your phone (iPhone or Android). You will then agree to the community guidelines and privacy policies, use the provided password to log in, and set your own password. We will use the email that is associated with your user in iSAMs – aka the Parent Portal - so you may wish to check or update the email you use. You can check which email the school has on file for you by logging into the parent portal: https://munichis.isams.cloud/auth/Account/Login And then navigating to the “Parent Profile” tab along the top right. Click into “My Contact Info”. If you need to change your email address, you can email admissions@mis-munich.de
Privacy
Classlist is GDPR compliant for schools in Germany. It also has granular permissions that users can set individually to determine how much information you want shared with other parents in the app. By default, only your name will appear to other users, along with the relationship to your child(ren). Because the data is synched with iSAMs, you will automatically be placed in the correct class groups and grade groups pertaining to your child(ren).
While some school administrators will use the app to send out announcements, only currently enrolled parents can see posts, comments and groups conversations.
